In 2000, Allegiant Marketing Group was started by two friends, Eric Weisgarber & Mike Mathe, who spent their immediate years after college being uniquely mentored in business start-ups. They had a dream to own their own business. After researching, they found that the mailing industry had the best chance for success. Direct mail is an industry that has continued to grow through every economic circumstance worldwide and has been around since before 1700 BC. The postal system is even mentioned in the Old Testament!

 

They chose the name Allegiant because it refers to the loyalty and commitment they have to their customers and their objectives. They knew that if they always put their customers first, then the rest would work out. They studied list sources, design, printing, postage and mail processing in depth so that their extensive knowledge would lead to a more effective mail campaign on their customer’s behalf.

 

Just like you, they were taught location, location, location. They started their mailing business in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma because of its central location nationally and its advantageous value on the dollar relative to other centrally located states. Before launching the business, Mike and Eric joined two well known Oklahoma businessmen,Tom Powell and Csaba Mathe. These two men brought 60 years of combined experience in the industries of credit, banking and business systems. Having a near paperless system with extensive quality control measures in place, being able to manage cash flow well and existing within an inexpensive state keeps their customer’s costs low.
